Case Study – Airlines warn 5G could ground some planes, wreak havoc

This case study in the CPM program reviews a potential clash between 5G phone signals and US aircraft. Three key questions are addressed:

• How could the parties have integrated project management, contract management, risk management, and commercial relationship management into a strategy which would have avoided or mitigated the issues in this scenario?

• Who should have taken the lead in this scenario, bringing the parties together as one enterprise, one team?  How would they do that?

• To what extent would the above two answers be realistic, i.e., what is the probability of success?  How could the probability of success be increased?
