What is the offering? Commercial Officers Group has established the premier ESG skills certification program focused on practitioners, stakeholders, and management who are missioned to lead their organization to ESG excellence. The program is structured as a multi-tiered, multi-mode offering – blending delivery through live webinars, interactive learning modules, quizzes/exams, assessments, case studies, coaching, and both virtual and bricks-and-mortar workshops. The program is based upon the assumption that the participant recognizes the importance of ESG and Sustainability initiatives, but needs to learn how to make effective ESG and Sustainability programs a reality through commercial assets – including sourcing/category strategies, tenders/RFxs, contracts, supplier relationship management, people strategies, risk management strategies, and the underlying tools, templates, skills, and metrics essential for a successful program.
Who is conducting the sessions? The program has been established in collaboration between Commercial Officers Group and other leaders in the field, and is flexible – tailored to meet diverse needs, yet ensure consistency in its delivery. The course content creators, presenters, and coaches draw from the Commercial Officers Group team. The team includes experienced practitioners with a “truth from the trenches” perspective – ranging from chief procurement officers, general counsel, HR leadership, risk managers, category managers, supplier relationship managers, customer relationship manager, change management practitioners, and myriad others.
Why is each session offered twice? We hope you are able to join us for as many of the following sessions as possible. Please note that we are accommodating a global client base, one in which there is never a single time slot that works for everyone. As such, each session will be conducted twice – 12 hours apart. You only need to register for one of the two sessions. Please note that the sessions will be conducted on the date mentioned, at 700am and 700pm anchored to US Mountain time, specifically Denver, Colorado, USA. The session time might translate to the subsequent day, depending upon where you are based. We need you to calculate the times according to your time zone.
How does one achieve certification? ESG certification is achieved through attaining points. For more details, please download the ESG Certification program overview.
How long does it take to attain ESG certification? This will depend on the level of certification and the types of points accumulated towards certification. To attain ESG-Practitioner (ESG-P) status, one should plan on a four-month journey, and investing a couple hours per week. The curriculum covered in the webinar schedule can be completed in an accelerated, on-demand basis.
When are the webinars? Below is the schedule. However, please be aware that additional webinars will be added to the schedule to address specific issues raised by program participants. Check back for additions to the program syllabus.
